I see absolutely everything
I observed my creator as he admired me
I witnessed him aging and fading
I watched burly men handle me
I looked as they set me on a huge white wall
For all to see, and with all in my view
Then a man came and scrutinized me
I peered back
I oversaw money exchanging hands
Then they put me in brown paper
and I saw no more

What am I came to mind as I read your poem Frederick. Nicely done! I changed the link up for you because it pointed to the MFtS page instead of yours. Thanks again for your contribution to the Mondays Finish the Story challenge and be well my friend… ^..^

Bought and sold like a piece of art. An unappreciated piece of art though if he’s still wrapped in paper. Probably shoved to the back of a closet somewhere?
I like what you did here.

Thanks tnkerr! I’m not really well versed in the arts paintings sphere but is it common for art pieces to be underappreciated?

I think I have to say yes. It can be quite common. What I see as art you may see as rubbish. Or vice versa. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I could go on but I won’t. Thanks Frederick – I still say this is a good story.
